As a landscape and wildlife photographer I visited the beautiful flower gardens of St Anne’s Park in Raheny, Dublin, capturing a charming moment as a grey squirrel pauses to rest on a park bench. The photograph combines the peaceful atmosphere of the gardens with the natural behaviour of one of Dublin’s most familiar urban wildlife species.

Surrounded by colourful flowers, mature trees, and carefully maintained gardens, the squirrel becomes the central focus of a scene that reflects the close relationship between nature and the city environment.
