Perfectly situated in a quiet corner of farmland adjoining to the local forestry in the mountains.

The hide looks out onto a Wonderful woodland scene, with natural looking perches on display and hidden feeding stations. The wildlife I got to photograph on the day was,
Red Squirrel, Eurasian Jay, Yellowhammer, Great Tit, Blue Tit, Dunnock, blackbird, Robin, Cock and Hen Pheasant to name just a few.

I would highly recommend a visit to Richards hide even if you’re not into photography, just to see the amazing wildlife itself. I didn’t get to see the European Pine Marten on the day I visited, but I now have an excuse to revisit again next month!!

And as always you can support my photography journey by purchasing one of my prints from my online shop.

I purchased one from the local hardware store and some 3/4” ply wood for supporting the tray underneath. I picked up some mossy tree branches for perches and used some clippings from plants in the garden.

Below are a couple of the photos that I have taken so far and hopefully as I use the reflection pool more will get better with the staging of the photos.
