The Diving Board Lough Owel

Approximately 6km from Mullingar just off the N4 you will find the Lough Owel diving boards that is a popular location for the swimmers in Westmeath and surrounding areas. I have fly fished this lake for many years and watched many amazing sunsets. I got lucky that evening in September as the weather was poor and mostly cloudy and as we got half way through the golden hour the clouds started to part and for about 20 minutes produced some stunning colours.
